How the blue lines work in Salerno: timetables, prices, subscriptions and permits to park your car in the city of Campania
On-road parking in the center of Salerno is mostly paid with spaces delimited by the well-known blue lines. However, the prices they schedule they are not always the same but can differ depending on the area, so let’s find out everything there is to know about Salerno blue stripes and on permits for residents and non-residents.
SALERNO BLUE STRIPES: TIMES AND PRICES
The paid parking plan in the city of Salerno is divided into 9 sectorsin which, as mentioned, they are applied different hourly rates. Payment for parking is only due during the hours of activation of the blue lines, while outside these hours parking is free.

Prices: €1.00/1 hour or part – €2.00/1 hour or part.

Opening hours: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. (every day except Sunday).
NB: the fare of 2.00 euros is valid in Piazza M. Luciani and Via Lista every day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Rates: €0.80 for the first 30 minutes – €2.00/h for each subsequent hour or fraction of an hour.

NB: including the stretch of Lungomare Trieste between Piazza Umberto I and Piazza Cavour.

NB: including Via F. Pinto. This rate is valid in Piazza Casalbore, Via Piave, Piazza Cav. from V. Veneto also on Sundays and public holidays.

SALERNO BLUE STRIPES: SEASONAL SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PERMITS
Interested people can buy subscriptions for automated and non-automated perimeter areas, as well as to request special permits.
Monthly passes are on sale, day and night, for automated perimeters with rates from 30 to 120 euros depending on the type of subscription. The cost of subscriptions, always monthly, of non-automated perimeter areas however, it varies from 12 to 50 euros. Learn more here.
Below are the categories that can apply for me special permits with the relative cost:
- car belonging to the Municipality of Salerno or to beneficiary companies: free;
- cars for institutional representatives: 250 euros (annual validity in all areas);
- personal cars used for the service needs of Armed Forces and Police personnel: 120 euros (valid annually in all zones) or 50 euros (valid annually in a single zone);
- personal cars used by the subjects who carry out the notification of acts: 50 euros (valid annually in all areas);
- personal cars used by individuals carrying out activities of public and social interest or importance: 250 euros (valid annually in all areas);
- cars of municipal councillors: 50 euros (valid annually, exclusively from Monday to Friday in zones 1 and 2);
- hybrid cars: 30 euros (valid for one year, parking is allowed along the road and in non-automated areas;
- electric cars: 10 euros (valid for one year, parking is authorized along the road and in non-automated areas. In the Concordia sector, parking is authorized only in spaces reserved for charging and for the time strictly necessary to this operation) :
- pink permits: 30 euros (valid up to 3 months after childbirth, they are issued to pregnant women residing in the municipality of Salerno);
- large family card: 50 euros (valid for one year, it is issued to families with more than three children living together).
Important: no permit allows free parking in the automated areas (Parc Concordia, Mazzini, Sottoopiazza; Foce Irno, underground Foce Irno, Robertelli) and in PARC Amendola.
SALERNO BLUE STRIPES: WHERE TO BUY TICKETS, SEASON PASSES AND PERMITS
